Our Athlete Community

We have built a strong, active community of athletes across both Vancouver and Sydney. A staple of Rising Endurance is our weekly local track sessions in both cities. These group workouts are highly structured and targeted directly toward specific upcoming races on the local event calendar, giving you a chance to push your limits alongside a crew preparing for the exact same start line.

If you are training remotely or on a self-guided plan, you are never isolated. We have dedicated WhatsApp and Strava groups that connect our entire global team, making it easy to share training momentum, swap racing advice, and stay up to date with everything happening across the community.

From beginners tackling a debut race to seasoned competitors aiming for peak performance, training here is about more than just checking off a spreadsheet. It’s about becoming a stronger, more confident athlete while connecting with a like-minded team.

Meet The Coach: Johnny


Born and raised in Ireland, I grew up playing a variety of sports before discovering my passion for endurance racing, particularly triathlons. I compete regularly in both running and triathlon events and earned my coaching certification from the United Endurance Sports Coaching Academy (UESCA).

Now based in Sydney, I founded Rising Endurance to help athletes of all levels achieve their goals, from completing a first 5K to crossing an Ironman finish line. My coaching blends a structured, research-backed approach with real-world flexibility, ensuring you build endurance, improve performance, and reach your full potential.

As an active racer, I practice exactly what I preach. After competing at the 2025 Ironman 70.3 World Championship in Marbella, Spain, I achieved Ironman All World Athlete (AWA) status for 2026. I am currently training to qualify for the 2027 Ironman 70.3 World Championship in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

As your coach, I am completely hands-on and invested in your progress. I genuinely love helping people navigate their fitness journeys and am always available to talk training. At Rising Endurance, we believe every athlete is unique. Even if two athletes train for the same event with the same goal in mind, their bodies won’t always respond the same way. Factors like individual lifestyle, training history, and physiological differences all play a role in shaping how you progress.

Because everyone is different, our training structures are built to adapt.
